Cyril Mohapatra (Cyril) is the Director for WLA Business, Site Acquisition and Projects. He is responsible for WLA business strategy and P&L growth as well as accelerating network expansion through end-to-end project management and site acquisition for WLA and Bank relationships.

A seasoned banking and payments leader, he brings over two & half decades of experience in banking transformation, payments modernization, fintech strategy, and enterprise innovation across leading financial institutions in India and the Middle East. His comprehensive domain expertise across Cards, UPI, IMPS, NEFT/RTGS, ATM and POS ecosystems, Digital Applications (Net , Mobile ),Open Banking APIs, and Digital Lending platforms has enabled large-scale technology and business transformations that blend customer-centric design, AI-driven automation, and regulatory excellence.

Prior to joining Hitachi Payment Services, Cyril was Senior Vice President & Head of Digital Solutions at IndusInd Bank, where he led the design and delivery of more than 18 digital platforms, overseeing over 2,000 product releases annually and managing technology investments exceeding ₹500 crore. He has also led and scaled multiple strategic business and product initiatives across organizations including YES Bank, Sohar International, Prizm Payment Services, Euronet, Kotak Mahindra Bank and ICICI Bank, while driving sustainable innovation.

A recipient of several industry recognitions including Digital Leader of the Year, India’s Most Agile CDO, and multiple FINNOVITI Awards, his leadership approach emphasizes building high-performing teams, fostering collaboration across business, technology, risk, and regulatory functions while consistently delivering sustained financial growth.
